We have a wonderful team at The Produce Project that keeps our mission alive. We could not do it without each of these lovely people - and our dedicated volunteers. This is, truely, a group effort that is only possible because of the passion of our team to put good into the world.

OUR TEAM

  • Kelli Pfitzner

    Director

Kelli joined us in June 2020. She came to us with experience in the nonprofit world and a real passion for the good she does in her community. In March 2022, Kelli took over as Director of the Produce Project after volunteering for years. She has endless energy for giving back to anyone in need. She has tons of ideas to grow and expand our little project. Kelli has expanded us to new locations, more events, and has helped to kick start Oak City Plate. She is also a business owner in the community. She never stops!

  • Elisabeth Chandler

    Oak City Plate Program Coordinator

Elisabeth started volunteering in 2021 at Produce Project. She loves volunteering and helping the community. Things she likes to do is bring organization to a project and help with team support and moral. Elisabeth is the Director of The Produce Projects nutrition program Oak City Plate.

  • Sarah Gregory

    Produce Purchase and Delivery

Sarah is a graduate of NC State University that has a love for all things nonprofits. She started her current role in March 2023, and is the girl behind the wheel of our box truck. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys testing out vegetarian recipes, playing board games, and kayaking. She encourages others to spend time in North Carolina's natural spaces, and recommends grabbing some of our fresh fruit before hitting the trails!

  • Maddie Laughlin

    Customer Relations Coordinator

Maddie joined us in September 2021. They also volunteer with one of our partners: Food Not Bombs. They are the smiling face you will see when you come in to pick up your produce. If you have any questions, Maddie is the person to talk to, and they will get your all "sorted" out! Maddie is a wealth of ideas to make our project serve the community even better! Say "hi" the next time you're in.

  • Lindsay Bortle

    Customer Relations Coordinator

Lindsay is a Long Island Native who has been in NC for decades. She's local to the downtown Raleigh area and has been spending the last half of 2022 volunteering her time with us during sorts. In October, Lindsay came on board to become our Chavis Park hub representative. She's a mother of 3 grown children, a culinary arts graduate, and the FIRST Female Pitmaster of Sam Jones BBQ. Lindsay is funny, caring, and gives wonderful ideas of what you can cook with your produce.

  • Zoe Staskiewicz

    Zoe Staskiewicz

    Customer Relations Coordinator

Zoe graduated from NC State University in May 2023 and joined us at the Produce Project a few months later. She overlooks the produce stations at Abbott’s Creek Community Center and Chavis Memorial Park. In her spare time, she volunteers at the NC Museum of Natural Science in the ornithology lab. She also enjoys reading books, drawing, painting, and exploring the great outdoors to photograph birds and other cool critters. So if you need info about anything from local produce to native birds, let Zoe be your guide.
